This little guy came home with EMM from pre-k this week - eeek!!! Actually this is just about the only spider that is allowed in our house.

Scared Silly

We are fortunate to live in a neighborhood that has a lot of kids and lots of people that love to celebrate Halloween.  Every year there are several houses that we have to drive by because of the Halloween displays that they put up. At our house, we like to set out our firepit and hand out candy after we are doing going around the block ourselves.  Dad always jokes to kids about not standing too close because we had a mummy almost catch on fire once.

In the picture, EMM holds up one of the boo-tiful Halloween crafts he made at school.

An Itsy Bitsy Project

What can you do with aluminum foil, a Popsicle stick, yarn, an egg carton, and an empty paper towel roll? EMM's preschool class did something pretty cool to go along with reading the nursery rhyme "The Itsy Bitsy Spider." This spider has been climbing up his water spout over and over, and who at our house doesn't love that song?

Can You Guess What Day it Is?

Today was Johnny Appleseed Day at school. EMM did a nice job on this sauce pan hat.  Apples are the theme all week and he will be making applesauce with his class at the end of the week.

The postal service is amazing!  This is ARM's handwriting - just love her!

The Dressing Room

 

These members of the family are fresh out of the dressing room, and of course, ARM helped them with their outfit selections.  She also photographed them sitting on her bed.  The sock monkey is in a sporty outfit, Princess Adelynn is looking relaxed in a robe, and the giggling turtle is ready for a night out on the town in a blue satin gown.

Why So Sad?

The butterfly created as an art project in ARM's 4 year old pre-k class was damaged, which is the reason for the long face on this little girl. But wasn't it the loveliest butterfly?

Manicure, Anyone?

There is a new day spa in town open for business and Grandma is the lucky first customer.  ARM is freshening up her nails with some Hello Kitty nail polish.

Good Signage is So Important

Thanks to ARM, our bathroom now has signs.  We wouldn't want anyone getting confused, ha!  She has really been into making signs lately, so this needed to be documented.  The one on the right is sort of X-rated, but she put this one next to our bathroom sink as she does not want any boys peeing in it!

Somebunny Hopped By

ARM morphed into a rabbit tonight when she found her bunny ears, white clothes and made a tail out of facial tissues.
